Adobe Flash Player is a plugin that allows browsers such as Firefox to display Flash media on web pages. Flash is often used for animations, videos and games. This article explains how to install Flash. When you visit a webpage that uses Flash and the plugin is missing, you will see the message 'A. This is a strange one, when i first went on to youtube videos would not play for me either but without going in to that horrible tv mode i can now watch all videos on youtube via the normal url. Yeah i just loaded it up and started an AngryJoe Review of Aliens CM '720p so it does work. I just don't know what i done to get it to work but it does. Hope it works out for you man OH a tip when it does start to work, you know when you get that page 'Frequently Used Pages'? Well i have always went to the site via that screen and it works for me everytime. Maybe try getting it to be on your freqyent list and go through it that way? My last thing i can leave you with is that at E3 they said they will be implimenting the youtube player app and ability to upload via the share button. Maybe but i actually remember that one time when i had already been able to view them i once went on and got the message about missing plug ins or something then the next time i tied it worked and that was the time that the only thing i done different was go though the frequent page, but one other thing i have noticed since the day it has been working i have not been logged in while the time it did not work for me i was so i have not ever logged in to youtube via my PS4 just in case ha ha Glad its working though:). The PS4 User agent of the Browser is now Coded by youtube to try to switch to HTML5 Youtube Video with a Max resolution of 720p video play back. HTML5 on youtube is nolonger an extra choice, if your bowser in use is seen as HTML5 playable, You tube will over ride flash as and select the HTML5 video. This is a forced up date to the youtube site. This has forcecd all HTML5 devices to support HTML5 on youtube.com again with out the user being required to go to youtube. Download software nanda nic noc nyeri. com/html5. The result is. PC site usage on console. Still but now limited to 720p. I do have the option to flip it on for sites like youtube, but personally prefer sites where the content is embedded directly not via flash, but that's a rarity these days. But all good sites should be backwards compatible and shouldn't enforce the latest flash version upon you. I just feel, a rant about the inclusion of a function that does not perform as expected is justified, especially when, as stated, you consider the original marketing that promoted its functionality. No biggie though Matt. Thanks guys for your input, I only bought my PS3 about a couple of weeks ago and found it brilliant browsing through my 40' screen, I thought it was cool watching video/trailers/clips etc and just browsing in general in full pixel mode on a big screen but my enjoyment keeps stalling every time a site has the latest flash based content. As you guys know most of today's sites contain some sort of flash anyway. I know i can hook my PC to my screen via the DVI output but all my hdmi inputs are in use and the VGA PC input on the TV does not display a 1080p signal on the Sony 40W2000 so that's no use. Anyway hopefully Sony update the flash player on the next firmware update as well as having a personalised theme/wallpaper setting!! Arm chair web browsing has its place, and will do more and more as bandwidth gets bigger and content gets to a better quality (higher res images, video and sound). The Wii system works well with the pointer, and the PS3 is pretty slick with the controller, but both lack support for viewing most videos and flash, also offering the ability to listen to radio stations online would be great - the PS3 would also benefit from RSS feeds (like the PSP) as I use it to listen to podcasts, but have to manually down load the files. If these devices had the capability I would buy a wireless keyboard, if they added email - then my PC would almost be obsolete. I love browsing the web on my ps3 and eagerly await a flash upgrade, would be in my top 3 needed features. Essentially i find nearly ALL uk television to be truly awful. Even our increasingly americanised news programs i find unwatchable due to the biased reporting, bizarre story selection and use of hollywood style music to 'move' us. So, switch on the ps3, surf over to eurogamer and watch some game trailers or footage then over to youtube to see what new reports/reviews/funnies are on. If only there was summat like a joost client for ps3. Web browsing with joypad is perfect for casual browsing where no typing is required. Cant wait for RSS for ps3 as that'll make it all even easier.
